Teacher Appreciation
Teacher Appreciation
We are fortunate to work with MSU faculty and staff who strive for the best instruction for our students. To this end, they participate in professional development opportunities we offer through forums, workshops, and courses; they work to stay on top of emerging technology, strategy, and assessment; they continually improve their technique, self-evaluation, and pedagogical approaches; and they form communities of support, mentorship, and discussion with each other. One goal the Center for Teaching and Learning has is to support and celebrate these faculty and staff members through recognition of their efforts in meaningful ways.
Each year, we hold a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon to recognize participants for completing our programs and for working with us to support other faculty members and graduate students by contributing to workshops and events throughout the year. We also award Digital Badges upon completion of several of our Communities of Practice.
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
Our annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon gives us an opportunity to recognize faculty and staff for their dedication to improving teaching and learning across campus. At this event, we share with the audience participants who have participated in and shared their expertise at our programs and take time on Teacher Appreciation Day to express our gratitude for the teachers we get to work with and learn from every day!
Digital Badges
Participants in many of our online Communities of Practice earn micro-credential Digital Badges upon completion. The Badges can then be added to a digital CV, signature line, or social media platforms!
